1. International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking was observed on 26 June 2014. The theme of the 2014 is A message of hope: Drug use disorders are preventable and treatable.
2. The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) on 26 June 2014 released a report. The report released that around 58 million children aged 6 to 11 are still out of school.
3. 35th National Games dates were announced on 26 June 2014 at the Members’ Lounge of the Kerala Legislative Assembly complex, Thiruvananthapuram by Indian Olympic Association (IOA). The games will be held at 32 different venues across seven districts of Kerala from 31 January to 14 February 2015.
